Chinese Prime Minister extended congratulations to new Lithuanian Prime Minister

On  November 23rd, 2016, Mr. LI Keqiang, Premier of the State Council  of the People's Republic of China, extended congratulations to Mr. Saulius Skvernelis on his appointment as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania.

In his letter of congratulations, LI Keqiang expresses that there has been a good momentum in the development of China-Lithuania relations in recent years, with closer high-level contacts, expansion of exchanges in various fields and fruitful results of pragmatic cooperation.

LI Keqiang underlines that the Chinese Government attaches great importance to China-Lithuania relations and is ready to work with the Lithuanian Government, taking the 25th anniversary of the establishment of China-Lithuania diplomatic relations as a new start-point, to further strengthen  mutual political trust, expand mutually beneficial cooperation and promote cultural exchanges, so as to lift China-Lithuania bilateral relations and China and Central and Eastern European Countries cooperation to a higher level.

LI Keqiang wishes the new Prime Minister every success in carrying out this important mission during his tenure of office.
