Chinese Leaders Extended Congratulations to Lithuanian Leaders on the Day of Restoration of the State of Lithuania

On February 16th, 2017, Chinese President XI Jinping, Chinese Premier LI Keqiang and Chinese Speaker ZHANG Dejiang respectively extended congratulations to Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaité, Lithuanian Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis and Lithuanian Speaker Viktoras Pranckietis on the occasion of the Day of Restoration of the State of Lithuania, and expressed their best wishes to the Republic of Lithuania and its people for prosperity and happiness.

In his Message of Congratulations, President XI Jinping expresses that China-Lithuania friendly relations have been constantly moving forward in recent years, with close high-level contacts, fruitful results of cooperation in various fields and rich and diversified people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and that he is ready to work shoulder by shoulder with President Dalia Grybauskaité to consolidate mutual political trust and to promote pragmatic cooperation in all fields, so as to bring tangible benefits to the two countries and peoples.

In his Message of Congratulations, Premier LI Keqiang expresses that China-Lithuania relations have been developing smoothly, with close high-level contacts and fruitful results of cooperation in such areas as economy, trade, investment, finance, people-to-people and cultural exchanges. Premier LI Keqiang underlines that the Chinese Government attaches great importance to the development of China-Lithuania relations, and he is ready to work together with Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis to deepen mutual political trust, expand areas for cooperation and lift cooperation to a higher level, so as to make more substantial achievements in China-Lithuania relations and "China and Central and Eastern European Countries Cooperation".

In his Message of Congratulations, Mr. ZHANG Dejiang, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, expresses that constant exchanges between the legislative bodies of the two countries have made positive contributions to the enhancement of mutual understanding and friendship between two peoples, and that he is ready to work together with Prof. Viktoras Pranckietis, Speaker of the Seimas, to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two legislative bodies both at high level and at other levels, so as to push forward the continuous development of China-Lithuania friendly and cooperative relations.
