China and Japan Hold the 10th Security Talks in Beijing

On the afternoon of July 21, China's Vice Foreign Minister Wu Dawei and Japan's Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Nishida Tsuneo headed their respective delegations to hold the 10th China-Japan security dialogue at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing.

The two sides briefed on their respective defense policies, agreeing to further increase defense exchanges.

Both sides also exchanged views on the situation on the Korean Peninsula and in Northeast Asia, agreeing that the two countries should continue efforts to push for the six-party talks and solve related issues through dialogue, consultation and peaceful and diplomatic means in a bid to safeguard peace and stability in Northeast Asia.
