China and UK Hold the Twentieth Human Rights Dialogue

From January 9 to 11, 2012, the twentieth human rights dialogue between China and the UK was held in Nanjing, Jiangsu. Special representative of the foreign ministry for human rights affairs and Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences Qi Xiaoxia co-chaired the dialogue with the director for the Asia Pacific region of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the UK. Officials of the foreign affairs, judiciary and religion affairs authorities of the two countries participated in the dialogue. The two sides introduced each other's progress in the sector of human rights and exchanged opinions on international human rights cooperation and progress in the fields of criminal justice, human rights and religion affairs. The two sides are willing to carry forward dialogue on human rights on the basis of equality and mutual respect.
