On December 19, 2013, the release ceremony of the China-EU Bilingual Handbook on Export Control was held in Beijing, China. Pang Sen, Director General of the Department of Arms Control and Disarmament of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, and Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to China,Ad Hoc representative Carmen Cano de Lasala, co-chaired and addressed the ceremony. This bilingual handbook is one of the important measures to implement Joint Declaration on Non-proliferation and Arms Control, which was published during the China-EU Summit in 2004. The handbook compiles the practices and laws and regulations of both sides on export control, and has important reference value to the relevant government departments, enterprises and academic institutions. Officials from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, the General Administration of Customs, the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, and the German Federal Office for Science and Technology and Export Control, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Economy, Family and Youth, and some embassies of EU members in China and others attended the release ceremony.
