On January 2, 2014, Special Representative on African Affairs for the Chinese Government Zhong Jianhua met in Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia with Ethiopian Foreign Minister and Chairperson of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Council of Ministers Tedros Adhanom, exchanging views on the situation in South Sudan. Chinese Ambassador to Ethiopia Xie Xiaoyan was present.
