--How Falun Gong Ruined Lives of Ordinary People
The now banned Falun Gong has claimed upwards of 1500 lives in China.  Readers of the following 14 stories can judge for themselves if this deadly cult should be allowed to go unchecked.

1. Around 10.p.m. February 6, 2000, Huang Daisheng, an elderly, childless man of Dasheng village near Panyu City of Guangdong Province, was brutally attacked by Yuan Runtian, a female Falun Gong practitioner living in the same village. Yuan had begun practicing Falun Gong in 1996 when she was a vocational school student in  Guangzhou. The exercise seemed quite effective in the beginning to improve her concentration and lift her sagging spirit. But before long her personality started to change. While keeping to herself most of the time, she became increasingly withdrawn and introvert. After graduation in March 1999, she found a job near her home, only to quit it shortly after. Not wanting to help the family with crops and house chores and even tired of speaking to her parents, she spent all her time practicing Falun Gong behind closed doors. Some time in November 1999, Yuan began picturing herself wondering in a strange world, with Master Li Hongzhi and many men vying to have sex with her or have her beheaded. Among them was Mr. Huang Daisheng. Even though the two had never talked to each other before, she was convinced that Huang was a demon that had violated and hurt her in the "other world" and therefore deserved to die. On the evening of February 6, 2000, a tormented Yuan bicycled to Huang's home and slashed the old man twice in the face with a kitchen knife.

2. Around 9 p.m. December 23, 1999, the 60-year old Lu Qingsheng, a director at the Heilongjiang Provincial Forestry Bureau, was hacked to death by his subordinate Zou Gang, a 39-year old Falun Gong practitioner. Three other employees, including the 30-year old Yajie, were seriously wounded in the incident. According to Zou, he had begun practicing Falun Gong in August 1995 and it was not until the previous month that he began having hallucinations in which he heard Li Hongzhi say, "Lu and Yajie were born your exterminator and the only way you can escape death is to have them killed first." Zou then bought a heavy kitchen knife on December 22 and committed the killing the following day.

3. On December 19, 1999, Jiang Wenli, a 56-year old female Falun Gong practitioner  who lived in Bengbu City of Anhui Province, was found lying on the floor of her freezing home, half naked and quivering with cold. Her husband, already dead, was a gruesome mess. His badly mutilated body bore deep knife and scissor wounds and shreds of human flesh were scattered all over the room. "Beloved Li Hongzhi," screamed the dying woman, "Come quickly to save me." On December 20, Jiang was   pronounced dead.

Not long after Jiang began practicing Falun Gong in November 1998, her personality took a gradual change for the worse. Staying home at daytime and going out at night, she refused all visitors, even doctors who came to see her ailing husband. On the afternoon of December 19, her husband passed away. Jiang felt as if some one was commanding her to remove and eat the dark boils on dead body so that the man could go back to life again.

4. On the morning of November 26, 1999, 33-year old Falun Gong practitioner Zhu Changjiu, a farmer at Zhanggezhuang Village of Renqiu City, Hebei Province, hacked his 73-year old father and 69-year old mother to death at their home because they, according to Zhu, had tried to talk him out of the practice and taken his Falun Gong literature away.

5. At 3 a.m. on August 11, 1999, heart-wrenching screams of a little boy were heard in the village of Qianjin Township, Qionglai City of Sichuan Province. Panicked by the "doomsday" prophesy of Li Hongzhi, Falun Gong practitioner Tang Zhihua cut off his two-year old son's penis with a kitchen knife. Two months before the incident, Tang's wife, also a devout practitioner, suddenly left home and disappeared without a trace.

6. In the early morning of July 17, 1999, Long Gang, a restaurant owner in suburban Chongqing, breaking free from family members and neighbors, threw himself into the river from the top of a bridge, carrying his 6-year old son in his arms. The boy was rescued, but Long was drowned. People who knew him told reporters that since practicing Falun Gong, Long often spoke of the earth's explosion and his plan to escape the disaster by levitating to heaven. His wife blamed Falun Gong for destroying the happy family.

7. On June 5, 1999, 16-year old Xu, a student at Linjiang Middle School of Jilin Province, told her classmates that since mankind would soon be destroyed and the earth explode, they might just as well foretaste the doomsday by taking some sleeping pills. She gave each of a dozen students 2 to 3 pills but one girl, out of curiosity, took 25. All of them developed symptoms. But thanks to timely medical attention, none, including the girl taking 25 pills, suffered any serious effect.

Influenced by her parents who were both practitioners, Xu began practicing Falun Gong in June, 1998. Her academic performance took a nosedive as she became more and more obsessed with the exercise. When teachers discussed the problem with her parents, they replied, "It is no use to study well, it will be OK if she knows how to practice Falun Gong."

8. At 2 a.m., March 20, 1999, a cold-blooded murder was reported in Chengde City, Hebei Province. The weapon was a foot-long dagger, the killer, a 17-year old Falun Gong practitioner, and the victims, his own parents.  During the interrogation, Li Ting called himself  "Buddha" while his parents demons.  "Am I supposed to kill demons?" he asked.   When asked where he had learned about all this, Li said, "I spent a week learning“Falun Gong” in the Resort Palace at Chengde after graduating from junior middle school.  I then bought some Falun Gong literature and practiced a lot ."

9. Dong Ning was a 26-year old worker at the Changhong Electric Mechanical Company Ltd. in Weihai City, Shandong Province. Convinced that his practice of  Falun Gong had attained perfection, he decided to release a number of souls by killing someone first and himself afterwards. He chose Liu, a fellow worker at his workshop, his first target. On January 7, he attacked Liu with a heavy metal object but missed. Next day, Dong attacked his father with a sharp knife, but failed again. Desperate to succeed, he broke into his neighbor's house and stabbed retired official Jiang in the neck. In the struggle,  the son of Jiang also suffered multiple knife wounds in the waist and legs.  In custody, Dong was asked of his motivation. He said, "I was only thinking how I can bring people away,  the loved ones and friends in particular. Some one made me do this because I wanted perfection."

10. Around 10 a.m. November 6, 1999, 46-year old Gao Encheng, a clerk at the township industrial and commercial office in Kaixian County of Chongqing Municipality, put his arms around his son and jumped from the roof of a four-story building. Gao was fatally wounded and died shortly after. But the boy survived. Both Gao and his wife were Falun Gong practitioners with Gao serving as the head of a practicing station. Four days before the incident, Gao withdrew all his bank deposits and distributed them among his daughter, parents and mother-in-law. He told them that he had already attained divinity and would not need money any more. Just before jumping, he yelled at the crowd, "I don't have to talk to you earthly beings, my son knows me best."  Even Gao was lying in a pool of blood, his wife would still not let doctors touch him, saying that Li Hongzhi would give him all the protection.

11. Yuan Yuge was a 35-year old housewife living in Renqiu City, Hebei Province. She and her husband began practicing Falun Gong in 1997. Later they forced their 10-year old son to do the same. On June 25, 1998, Yuan, hallucinating to have become immortal, put her son on the back seat of her bicycle and rode all the way into the moat. The child struggled to safety. Yuan was later saved and sent to hospital by family members.

12. Pounding more than one hundred times with a shovel and wooden pole, Wang Anshou, a 36-year old worker at a machine-building plant in Xintai County, Shandong Province, reduced his father to a pulp on the morning of April 8, 1998. Wang started practicing Falun Gong only three months before the incident. Unhappy with what he believed was their cold attitude towards his choice, the previously pious and loving Wang began to see his father and his wife as ugly "tiger spirit" and "fox spirit" that must be put away. Wang was later diagnosed to have suffered a severe case of schizophrenia.

13. Wu Deqiao was a 36-year old employee at a grocery store in Wujiang City, Jiangsu Province. On the night of February 26, 1998, while practicing Falun Gong at home, he suddenly felt that he had already become a "Buddha". When his wife tried to stop him, Wu became greatly infuriated and saw the woman as a bad curse. He picked up a knife from the kitchen and hacked her several times. She was killed instantly. Wu had just started practicing Falun Gong. One day before the incident, he was caught yelling "earthquake" at midnight. When asked why, he said, "I felt as if I was being chased by a killer."

14. Around 9 a.m. August 23, 1996, 24-year old Wang Xuezhong of Jiahe County, Hunan Province suddenly pointed his finger at his father and accused him of being a demon. Without listening to any explanation, the son brandished a heavy kitchen knife and landed it on the father's head, neck and chest 17 times, killing the old man on the spot. Police investigation shows that Wang was suffering from serious schizophrenia when committing the crime. Wang was known to be a strait A student. But during the second year of senior middle school, he became attracted to Falun Gong, believing that practice would enable him to predict the contents of the college entrance examination.
