On August 18, 2006, Assistant Foreign Minister Kong Quan met with the delegation headed by Chairman of the Romania Institute of Foreign Affairs

Both sides made positive remarks on the rapid growth of the all-round friendly partnership between China and Romania and expressed satisfaction with the exchanges and cooperation between the foreign ministries and institutes of foreign affairs of the two countries. They also exchanged opinions on other issues of common interest.

The Romanian delegation is invited to China by the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs.
