On March 21, 2011, Premier Wen Jiabao met with the 70 overseas representatives attending the 2011 Annual Meeting of China Development Forum at the Great Hall of the People. He had long, friendly and frank conversations with them and answered their questions.

Wen said, the Outline of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" has brought confidence and hope not only to the development of China, but also to the world. China cannot develop is isolation from the world; the world also needs China for its development. As China develops, China needs to work in much closer cooperation with other countries. China will not change the opening up policy. China will strengthen rather than weaken the policies of attracting foreign investment and introducing advanced technology and management experience.

Wen said, as the world economy starts to rebound and gets better, the international community should continue to carry forward the spirit of mutual help, stay in close coordination and cooperation, and work together to achieve strong, sustainable and balanced growth of the world economy. He expressed his optimism in the prospects of the world economy.

Overseas representatives spoke highly of the Outline of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", saying that they were greatly encouraged and inspired by Premier Wen's speech and answers. They also expressed the willingness to strengthen cooperation with China for common development.

Zhang Yutai, Director of the Development Research Center of the State Council, was also present at the meeting.
