On the morning of July 30th, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Special Envoy of the US Department of State on Korean Peninsula Affairs Joseph DeTrani, who came to China for working consultations. Wang Yi said that the third round of the six-party talks had made positive headway and the parties should hold a working meeting as soon as possible according to the consensus and authorization of the plenary session to have in-depth discussions on how to implement the first phase actions of nuclear dismantlement and on other concrete issues, so as to take real steps towards denulearization on the Korean Peninsula at the earliest date possible.

Prior to this meeting, Ambassador Ning Fukui in charge of the Korean Peninsula Issue of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs held working consultation with DeTrani and the two sides exchanged views in depth on problems faced them currently.
