On Dec. 27th, President Hu Jintao, taking behalf of the Chinese Government and the Chinese People, sent a message of sympathy to H.E. Senior General Than Shwe, Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council of the Union of Myanmar on the loss of life and property caused by the tsunami disaster in Myanmar and expressed deep condolence to the victims. In the message, Hu Jintao said that he firmly believe that the Myanmar Government and people will surely defeat the disaster and overcome the difficulties, and quickly resume the normal social and production order in those affected areas.
