On April 13, 2010, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Fu Ying met in the Foreign Ministry with former Lithuanian President Rolandas Paksas, who is visiting China at the invitation of Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs. Both sides exchanged views on China-Lithuania relations as well as issues of common concern. Fu at request introduced China's political, economic and social development, expressing hope that both sides will increase mutual understanding and jointly promote smooth development of bilateral friendly cooperative relations.
