Chinese, Japanese FMs hold phone conversation(2004/05/22)

 BEIJING, May 22 (Xinhuanet) -- Japanese Foreign Minister Kawaguchi Yoriko briefed Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing on Saturday afternoon on Japanese Prime Minister Koizumi Junichiro's recent visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

  During a phone conversation, the two foreign ministers exchanged views on the situation of the Korean Peninsula and peaceful solution to the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula
through dialogue.

  Li stressed the principled stance of China on the key political issues of Sino-Japanese relations.

  Yoriko reiterated Japanese government's stance on adherence to the one-China policy.
