Li Zhaoxing Meets with His Pakistani Counterpart

On September 29, 2004, Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing met with Pakistani Foreign Minister Kasuri in New York. The two sides were satisfied with the development of bilateral relations and agreed to expand cooperation in all fields in an all round way. The two sides also exchanged in depth views on UN reform, Iran nuclear issue and the Darfur issue in Sudan and both believe that the UN reform should be carried out step by step and take the concerns and interests of all parties concerned into consideration. Li appreciated Pakistan's firm support on such issues as Taiwan, human right and Tibet. Kasuri thanked the Chinese side for its support and help in many aspects.
