Chinese Premier Meets with Jordanian King Abdullah II

On September 17, 2008, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met at the Great Hall of the People with Jordanian King Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein, who is here for a visit to China and to attend the closing ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games.

Wen said China is ready to provide aid within its ability for the economic development of Jordan and he hoped the two sides will strengthen cooperation in such fields as economy and trade, agriculture, environmental protection and energy, to promote the friendly ties between the two countries towards new achievements.

Abdullah II said the success of the Beijing Olympic Games and Paralympic Games has shown the beautiful prospect of China's development, adding Jordan will continue to devote itself to promoting the bilateral friendly exchanges and practical cooperation.
