Li said currently China-EU relations are developing steadily in general. Premier Wen Jiabao’s recent visits to the four European countries and the EU headquarters gave new impetus to the development of China-EU relations. China is ready to strengthen communication and dialogue with the EU side on Central Asian affairs and supports Central Asian countries to maintain political and social stability, promote the economic progress, improve people’s livelihood and resolutely crack down on the "three forces" including the "East Turkistan" terrorist forces, so as to make due contributions to ensuring peace and stability of the region. Li said to maintain lasting peace and stability in Transcaucasia is in the interest of all countries in the region and parties concerned. He expressed hope that relevant parties will properly address disputes through dialogue.

Morel said EU attaches importance to ties with Central Asian countries and is ready to enhance cooperation with these countries in all areas. EU appreciated China’s positive role in Central Asian affairs and the issue of Georgia and is ready to continue enhancing communication and coordination with China to jointly promote peace, stability and development of the above-mentioned regions.
